Frequently Asked Questions
Q: What Audio/Visual entertainment
equipment is provided in the house?
A: There is a Television / Video / DVD / Satellite system for rent in the
house. It can be made available for an additional £75 per week (£125
per fortnight).
Q: Are Bath and Beach Towels provided?
A: Bath towels are provided but beach towels are not, please bring
your own.
Q: Is there a supply of toys / board
games in the house?
A: There are no board games provided in the house as experience has
shown that they are not well cared for and need regular replacement.
Q: How many cots are available?
A: There is one cot and high chair provided which will be set up in
advance of your visit if the requirement is highlighted on your
booking form. Additional cots etc. will need to be hired and this
can be arranged through our local agent at €30 per week.
Q: Is there a safe in the
house?
A: There is a security container in the house similar to that found
in most hotel rooms.
Q: Is there a hair dryer provided in the
house?
A: There is no hair dryer provided and you are advised that adapter
plugs will be required for all electrical equipment which you take
with you.
Q: Is access suitable for infirm or
disabled visitors?
A: Whilst the majority of the house is on one level, no special
provisions have been made to facilitate disabled access. The house
is approached at either of the two entrances up a flight of steps.
There are 6 steps at the rear entrance to the house for and, one
further step onto the front door terrace. Internally the East Wing
is higher than the remainder of the house although the West Wing and
all communal areas are on a single level. In the garden there are
steep steps leading down to the pool however the steps on the path
towards the beach are less severe and the pool can be accessed more
easily although less directly in this manner.
In summary the house should be suitable for an infirm visitor,
especially if accompanied, however no facilities have been provided
for disabled persons. A wheelchair bound visitor would certainly
require the assistance of friends to get in and out of the house as
well as to move around outside the property. It is strongly
recommended that you contact us to discuss specific issues before
booking.
Q: Are there any barbecues?
A: There is one charcoal barbecue provided, with grills etc
generally kept in the kitchen.
